THE BENEFITS OF PILATES & YOGA
Yoga is a constant flow of movement coupled with breath control to help the body warm up, increase the heart rate and increase flexibility.
During the 7 week course you will learn the importance of relaxation, breathing and positive thinking whilst toning and strengthening the body both internally and externally from head to toe.
Yoga is a great way to relax, stretch and strengthen your body. It is also a fantastic way of helping your body to prepare for the physical demands of cycling and beyond. Ongoing yoga sessions can help to improve recovery after rides, maintain durability and overall increase strength and power.
Pilates is ideal for building your core strength, targeting key core muscles, increasing stability. Pilates is a great way to improve overall muscle strength while improving balance and limb alignment without bulking our your muscles. Ongoing sessions will show improved posture and flexibility making our 8 week courses a great starting point.
As well as your core muscles pilates targets your neck and upper back, stretching and lengthening the muscles to avoid them becoming tight set. This is a good preventative measure to avoid injury in any sport but great for cyclists.
